We are only a couple of days away from our 2018 Chamber of Commerce AGM. Our team has been overwhelmed by the positive response and uptake in RSVPs. We are expecting 125 guests on Wednesday evening.
Five Things You Need to Know Before Attending 2018 AGM on Wed Feb 21
In order to prepare you for the meeting, here are 5 things you need to know for Wednesday night (February 21):
1- Enter through the plant's main entrance (171 Main Street North). Parking attendants will direct you where to park and enter the building.
2- Plan to arrive anytime between 6:00pm-7:00pm to enjoy networking, refreshments and a plant tour. However, if you'd like a tour, be there before 6:25pm. Dinner will include pizza, cold meat, cheese, fruit and vegetables tray, desserts, and samples of local wine and craft beer. If you have a hard hat for the tour, please bring one. If not, we will supply one.
3- The agenda for the meeting and last year's AGM minutes can be found here, using the link above. Please bring your own printed copies. We are excited to announce that Chuck Rifici, CEO of Cannabis Wheaton, a key player in the recently announced plans at the former Nestle's plant, will be one of our guest speakers.
4- Elections for the Board of Directors will take place at the meeting. If you are interested in joining the Chamber Board, please let us know. Meetings are held bi-monthly and the time commitment is about 3-4 hours per month.
5- Bring business cards, both for our door prize draws and to exchange with fellow local businesses.
